 Sales Account Executive

Position Summary:

WVT Communications is currently seeking a Sales Account Executive.  This position is responsible for sales and account management to end-user customers, including small and large business customers. This includes pre and post sales activities and day-to-day sales account management. The successful candidate shall be responsible for all sales/account management activities in an assigned territory; exclusively targeting margin-attractive enterprises.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a full and active sales funnel by identifying and create new sales opportunities.
  • Develop, manage and protect assigned accounts and prospects.
  • Be involved in the day-to-day project management of large customer projects.
  • Track progress of all customer construction projects.
  • Assist WVTC’s engineers in providing cost-effective communications engineering and design solutions that fit individual customer needs and bandwidth requirements.
  • Develop customer contracts for WVTC’s services and document all customer contacts, contracts and requests.
  • Developing marketing leads from numerous sources to provide a continuous flow of new customer activity to the company.
  • Participating in trade shows, marketing fairs, etc… to develop WVTC’s name and contact base.
  • Meet or exceed all assigned sales targets
  • Be available to respond to customer problems on a 24 x 7 basis to assist in the management of the restoration of any services.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in the marketing and sales of residential and business communications products.
  • Knowledge of technology trends in the communication field.
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Understanding of the elements that make up voice and data communications networks and a proven ability to quickly assimilate technical data, methods and procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to produce and deliver presentations to senior management and/or customers, as required.
  • Possess strong organizing, planning and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated to work independently performing multiple assignments in a rapidly changing technological environment.
  • Strong personal computer skills in various programs (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
